Above is the Main Menu, indicating the scope of this programme
Finding specific Texts or Themes, using this software:
Chapter & Verse: The initial menu links to each of the biblical books. Each book then has its own links, to the individual chapters. So you can reach any chapter via Bible — Book — Chapter. The verses (numbered) are easy to find.
References or Themes: If you know the exact wording of the reference you seek, use a “phrase-search.” If you know only the substance, but not the exact wording, try a “proximity-search.”) This feature (“proximity-search”) can also be used as a “relational search” i.e. to find two terms that are semantically related.
For a fuller relational search, you may need to try several combinations, including the “thesaurus” feature. Find, for example, texts linking “Law and Righteousness” or “Justice and Mercy” or “Wisdom and Fear.”
Well-known passages: More than 400 passages which are known by thematic names, such as the “Prodigal Son,” “Beatitudes,” “Lord's Prayer” “Workers of the Eleventh Hour” “Passion Predictions” “Last Supper” “Easter Appearances” etc., are listed under Key Bible Texts, with links to the relevant texts. Try F2 (search-key) with any of those named passages, to get the feel of it.
